Libya happy - a little cautious

Libya happy  a little cautiousAmidst contradictive impulses and victory signals the country is yet to decide whether it had been liberated or is it still to await the end result for a few more hours – is the question arising in the minds of Libyans and their sympathisers across the globe.

But on Tuesday night, dozens of youths danced in Tripoli's Green Square, another Gaddafi showpiece arena. They waved the red, green and black flag of the rebels to the sound of gunfire, though most of the city's 2 million people prudently stayed indoors. Disinformation and confusion all around swamp the truth in Libya.

Rebels control most of the city, but there are still reports of sporadic resistance by pro-Gaddafi forces. Rebels and residents of Tripoli have been celebrating through the night. Here, they unveiled a huge Libyan flag.

Col Gaddafi on the other hand, has vowed martyrdom or victory in the fight against aggression, a pro-Gaddafi channel has reported

The rebels have organized local fighters to guard their own streets areas, which shall decrease any risks of pro Gaddafi forces sneaking into areas or harming the rebels. Rebels have said Gaddafi is now history and the Tripoli is under their control. But Gaddafi is still at large and firing continues in parts of the city.
