Rebels headache for political parties

With elections hardly away, leaders of many political parties are changing their base for electoral gains. Especially in Andhra Pradesh, the jumping of leaders are more number with bifurcation of state. As Congress being blamed in the division, many leaders, MLAs, Ministers are leaving Congress and joining TDP, YSRCP. In Telangana region, TDP and Congress leaders are looking at TRS while at National level, BJP is in the receiving end.

But with the joining of leaders, many insiders of the respective party are under threat as Assembly or Lok Sabha ticket may be denied to them. And so rebels in such parties are increasing at rapid speed. We start of with BJP and one man is in the headlines for the past one week, he is none other than Jaswant Singh.

Jaswant-Singh

Being one of the founder of BJP, Jaswant was denied ticket to contest from his home town Barmer. However, Jaswant filed his nomination as an Independent and BJP is yet to take action against him. Barmer is the native place of Jaswant who represent Darjeeling constituency now and ex-congressmen Sonaram Chaudhary is awarded Barmer ticket. Hurt by this decision, Jaswant went into tears but it could not melt the BJP leadership. Jaswant slammed president Rajnath Singh and Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi for being ignorant on the senior leaders. Not only Jaswant, Sushma Swaraj also faced BJP leadership's arrogant attitude however was silent as a disciplined BJP worker.

Chandrababu-Naidu

Coming TDP, a massive number of leaders joined the party from Congress over the past one month. Ministers Ganta, TG Venkatesh, Arasu, Shatrucharla, Galla Aruna, JC Diwakar Reddy and now MP Rayapati is all set take up Cycle flag. However with JC joining TDP, Ananthapur MLA Paritala Sunitha is seriously upset with Chandrababu Naidu while MP M Venugopal Reddy is looking to jump to YSRCP with Rayapati joining TDP. Nonetheless, TDP Supremo Chandrababu did not make any efforts to pacify the unhappy leaders and is more focused on pulling more and more leaders to his party. Ministers Sailajanath, Pithani and Dokka Manikyavaraprasad are also expect in TDP.

T-PCC-chief-Ponnala

Congress is the worst hit party after bifurcation. Many prominent leaders emptied the party and in Telangana region, it did a good job but not that great enough to attract more leaders. More than migrants, within the party, allotment of tickets is bothering Congress. Komati Reddy brothers are under fire as tickets to them may be denied and in the initial list, T PCC chief Ponnala recommended his name for the Bhongir Parliament. Upset with this Komati Reddy brothers are doing all the efforts to woo the high command and are also rumored to be in touch with TRS party if denied ticket.

K-Chandrashekar-Rao

TRS party is facing more heat of rebels currently. This party has been attracting and encouraging many leaders of other parties into it. With Konda Surekha couple joining TRS, not only opposition parties, leaders within TRS are criticizing the leadership. Politburo member Charuku Sudhakar has slammed TRS party for making red carpets for others and ignoring own party workers. He also said if denied ticket from Nakrekal, he would contest as Independent. In Mahbubnagar district, Ibrahim is disappointed with KCR as he invited Telangana Employees union Srinivas Goud into party and made him incharge of district. Srinivas Goud already reported to the media that KCR has offered him Mahbubnagar seat while, Ibrahim is looking at Congress.

At the end of the day, electoral gain is the only aim of any party rather than taking public opinion. How far is it justifiable to invite leaders of other parties and ignoring own party workers is up to the ethics of them.
