Apparently miffed over the treatment meted out to Baba Ram Dev at his fasting camp at Ramlila in Delhi Saturday night, a person posing as a journalist tried to attack the congress party general secretary Janardhan Dwivedi with his shoe at a press conference at the AICC headquarters in Delhi today.

 

The person, identified as Sunil Kumar of Nav-Sanchar Patrika from Rajasthan, went to Dwivedi in a fit of rage suddenly during the press conference, took out his shoe and tried to hit him with it.

 

He was immediately over powered by an AICC staffer and some journalists and was taken out of the press conference room, all the while the AICC staff beating him. He was later handed over to the police.

 

“It is all pre-planned,” said Dwivedi later.
