Yoga guru Baba Ram Dev, who re-launched his indefinite fast late last night at his Ashram in Haridwar demanding the government to initiate immediate measures to end corruption and bring the black money back into the country, warned the Centre that it would not be able to bear the consequences of his Satyagraha.
Addressing thousands of his supporters at his fasting camp in Haridwar today, he said the Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh did not discharge his national duty. “I have the support of all political parties except that of the Congress. The Government would not be able to bear the consequences of my indefinite fast,” he warned.
The yoga guru charged that the police acted brutally and lobbed tear gas shells on thousands of his supporters in a closed shamiana at the Ramlila grounds. “The police attacked innocent women and children,” he alleged, adding that they even did not allow the injured persons to stay in hospitals.
