Superstar Rajani Kanth, who was being treated for multiple infections in the ICU of the Sri Rama Chandra Medical Center for the past few days, was shifted to his private ward Sunday evening.
Doctors said there was good improvement in the health condition of Rajani and they had moved him after ascertaining his fitness. “He responded well to the treatment and he made some good recovery. So we shifted him to his ward,” said the doctors treating him.
“We are hopeful of discharging him soon,” said a senior doctor. “But we have not yet taken a decision,” he said.
The 61-year old super star was admitted to the hospital on May 14 with multiple infections following the accumulation of fluids near his lungs in the body. Later, he underwent dialysis also for ensuring proper renal functioning.
“Rajani was very normal now and he was watching even the IPL matches on TV. He is also having his normal diet now,” said the doctors. Rajani’s family members are all with him now in the hospital but the doctors are still enforcing restrictions on visitors to ensure complete rest for the super star.
