How to deal with your child during pregnancy?

If you are a mom-to-be with a toddler in tow, we have some basic tips that'll help you sail through your pregnancy. These simple adjustments are all you need to be a happy and stress-free mom-to-be:

Share housework with someone else

With an energetic toddler around, perhaps you could engage in teaching her a thing or two about keeping the house neat and tidy. However, if she is a tad too young, feel free to ask for help from your husband, mother, in-laws and the village that helped you raise your tiny tot! Meanwhile, focus on getting enough rest and take care of your health.

Keep the Playtime Low-Key

During your pregnancy, especially the first trimester, there is a general sense of fatigue in the body. So make sure that your regular playtime with your toddler is not draining out your energy further. The toddler has endless energy now, but you do not. Play and engage the little one in activities that are interesting, aid her development and are easy on you. Decide on the ones that are of mutual interest such as music, painting, crafts and reading books.

Talk to Your Toddler

Your pregnancy is a great time to connect with your kiddo and tell her that she will have some company. Kids are sensitive and they would know when to not bother you. Make it a fun activity with your little one speaking to mummy’s tummy and creating a sense of camaraderie. Be gentle with yourself and your little one and she might even offer to massage your aching muscles with her tiny hands. Kids are adorable like that!
