Get the Jewelry right!

Getting ready for an occasion is the mantra of style. Dressing according to the situation is never complete without teaming it up with the right Jewelry. Here are some suggestions for you to guide you what kind of Jewelry to wear according to different events;

Weddin

If it is your own wedding then you can set the pace as to how formal your day is going to be. Your style of dress will go a long way in determining what sort of jewellery you wear, and how much. If your dress is fairly busy then you should cut back on the jewellery and perhaps wear more simple jewellery, like a strand of pearls and matching earrings. If your dress is a simple strapless with not much detail on the top section you could make more of a statement with your necklace and have something bigger or with more detail. You could skip the necklace altogether and wear only earrings. In this case choose something that hangs a little lower.

Dinner party

Instead of a night out you are going to a night in. With most people tightening their financial belts dining in instead of going out is once again becoming popular. Traditionally not the normal visit you would do in jeans and a T-shirt, a dinner party calls for you to dress up a little, and your jewellery should reflect this. A string of pearls would be a classic addition to your outfit or earrings that you wouldn't wear for everyday, like some studs with larger stones. You may be having a themed dinner party, or having a bit of fun by dressing up in formal wear. If this is the case break out the diamonds, or if you don't have any, there are plenty of shops that sell accessories with fake jewels that look as good as the real thing.

Shopping

Life is too short to not make an effort on your appearance everyday, and it is not much point having expensive jewellery hidden away where it doesn't ever get worn. Wearing a pendant on a chain is lovely for everyday wear, and a pair of simple earrings, like pearls or diamond studs. Longer earrings tend to look more formal, so stick to studs. Wear your hair up, tied back in a ponytail, to make the most of your earrings. Heavier gold locket bracelets dress up an outfit a bit without being too over the top, as well as the popular individually styled bead bracelets.
Buying to suit an occasion

If you are buying jewellery for someone you will need to buy the appropriate piece to suit the occasion. For an anniversary or significant milestone something that is a statement piece or a bit more special is appropriate, like a diamond ring for example. For a birthday or for Christmas a bracelet, earrings or another bead for her bracelet is still lovely but not too over the top.
