The Australian team has confessed that former Indian middle order batsmen, VVS Laxman and Rahul Dravid were their nemeses and have a breather without them in the lineup. It is true that they have always played key roles in the team against Australia. After a troubled decade or so for Australia, they no longer have to face Dravid or Laxman after the duo hanged their boots last year.

Their retirement was a sad news for India but the Australians could have been the first to cheer them. Speaking to the media, Matthew Wade, the wicketkeeper for the Australian team has admitted that their team feels more comfortable and confident without 'The Wall' and the 'Very Very Special'. He said, dismissing them twice in every match was a hell of a burden that they no longer have to worry about. "Obviously they are class players and champion players for India. It's nice that we don't have to get them out twice in every Test," Wade said.

Though the Australians are quite relaxed, the term is only relative. They are still vigilant enough to tackle the present starting line up especially considering the climate. Wade stressed that they had to work hard to ensure wins. "The guys in the present Indian team are very good batters. They are very experienced especially in these conditions and we'll need to work hard."
