India didn't miss a chance to have its name engraved into the books of history with the recent performance in the four match test series against Australia in the Border Gavaskar Trophy after a 4-0 whitewash.

Though this might not be a revenge from the previous debacles in the foreign lands, India sure did deserve every bit of the big wins. Also the home loss to England recently after a white wash in England 4-0, India needed to prove their mettle in the long format of the game and the young team has come through so well that this could well be the finest Dhoni could ask for under his captaincy.

Big players like Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir have been dropped but that really didn't hamper team India's performance.

Few players have shown their flying colors in the four match series

M Vijay: Performing consistently in every innings in every match, Vijay was the best performer in the game with highest runs scored off the bat in both the teams. 430 runs which comprise of two successive tons back to back. A big round of applause for this man.

Chetheshwar Pujara: Opening along with Vijay, he was the perfect partner to lead the team to victories alongside Vijay. He is also the second best scorer in the series with 419 runs with a commendable average of 83.8 runs. One double century at Hyderabad included. This brave man also played matches despite having a finger fractured.

Shikhar Dhawan: One innings was all it took for this youngster to prove he was test match material. 187 runs in a debut was among the best debutant scores in the world.

R Ashwin: Failing miserably in England tests, he knew he had a lot on him to gain his reputation back. His determination brought him to the position of the highest wicket-taker with 29 wickets. His monumental performance in every game has also earned him the title of Man of the Series.

Ravindra Jadeja: Another consistent bowler with wickets every innings in every match with a five wicket haul in Kotla. He was also surprisingly good with the bat in Kotla test with 43 runs to his name.

MS Dhoni: Last but not least, Mahendra Singh Dhoni. You would know what to expect when all you hear in the ground after the victory was the ceremonious chants of his name "Dhoniii, Dhonii,..." Best captain with a good grip over the team A great example with his double century in Chennai setting an example for the rest.

Under such leadership and such team efforts, India is sure to have the ideal unbeatable team if it continues winning the same way.
