Google craves for more on-page time

The search engine giant in its vision to give more to its visitors launches its `Knowledge Graph’ ceremoniously to US visitors on a trial basis, on Wednesday. However experts feel that this move will keep the search engine in the SEO-reckoning. Craving for more on-page time by its users, Google also provides its customers with rich contents about the necessary searches made, making the experience worthwhile.

The new tool will go beyond relevant keyword searches and give relevant information on the items also. With Knowledge Graph, Google can help you narrow your search results to distinguish between words with different meanings (e.g., Taj Mahal the monument vs. Taj Mahal the musician).  Along with the search results, some relative photos, books and information will be given on the right side of the page.

Google on a day-to-day basis is frequently enhancing the features to retain the loyalty of its visitors. For this Google is to have  spent the past two years poring through online encyclopedia Wikipedia, the CIA Facebook and other sources to expand a database of 12 million items that it picked up as part of its 2010 acquisition of Metaweb.   (With Inputs from Internet- Aarkay)
