First Test: England Reports A Stable Performance On Day One:- England is touring across India and the first test match commenced today in Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai. England won the toss and elected to bat first. England reported a remarkable performance on its first day and lost three wickets for 263 runs in their 89.3 overs played for the day. Rory Joseph Burns (33), Dom Sibley (87) and Joe Root (128 not out) have been decent among the English batsmen while Dan Lawrence returned back without scoring any run. England showed complete domination from the first over and reported decent runs. Indian bowlers had to sweat out so much to take the wickets of the English batsmen.

Jasprit Bumrah (2/40) and Ravichandran Ashwin (1/68) have been decent among the Indian bowlers while Ishant Sharma, Shahbaz Nadeem and Washington Sundar could not get a single wicket. This is the first of the four tests with England. Indian bowlers will have to take early wickets on the second day to restrict England batsmen before racing to a big score. Else, Indian batsmen would land in pressure. Team India is the hot favorite for the test series. England is keen to have a strong day two and dominate the test match.
