The Bollywood actor and owner of IPL franchise, Kolkata Knight Riders, Shahrukh Khan has cleared the doubt in the air that he was drunk during yesterday’s dirty episode at Wankade Stadium in Mumbai. He said he had to exchange words with Mumbai Cricket Association members only after his children were allegedly manhandled at the stadium when he along with his team tried to enter the stadium.
Shahrukh Khan who held a press conference on Thursday has said that the 20-25 officials present over there showed their high-handedness and in a fit of rage he uttered some dialogues but he stressed on the rudeness of officials. Shahrukh has also demanded an apology over the entire episode.
It may be recalled that the Mumbai Police opened a non-cognizable offence (which his not a serious case) after Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) filed case against him. Shahrukh Khan has also demanded an apology from the officials of MCA. He has also said that he would write a letter to the MCA head Vilas Rao Deshmukhi.
On the other hand, MCA officials have said that Shahrukh Khan wanted to celebrate over Kolkata Knight Riders victory on Mumbai Indians at Wankade Stadium. When a security guard objected over security reasons, he was pushed aside, they added. He used abusive language at the security and at the officials of MCA, added the officials of Mumbai Cricket Association.
Meanwhile, MCA president Vilasrao Deshmukh has said that it was a grave concern and he called for a meeting on Friday to discuss the matter. The future course of action on this matter would be decided at the meeting, he said.
All in all, Shahrukh Khan is in soup as Mumbai Cricket Association took up the matter very seriously. He was also banned from entering Wankade Stadium. (Phani)
