Healthy Almond Malai Kulfi

Tasty food is something no one can resist, but they are seldom healthy. They have excess of the ingredients that would not be acceptable according to the dieticians. But there are few tasty and healthy foods too. However, do consult your doctors on the serving size, whether you should consume it if at all or not. This is also not suitable for the lactose intolerant people as the main ingredients in the preparation include sweetened dairy products.

Almond Malai Kulfi is basically condensed milk, saffron, dry fruits cooked together, then chilled and served in an earthen cup or matka for the traditional touch.

100 gms almonds (ground & blanched)

100 gms condensed milk

6 Tbsp cream

50 gms toasted pistachio

50 ml milk

Saffron one pinch

50 gms pistachio

Once you secure all the ingredients and prepare them to start the cooking procedure, take the almonds, blanched and ground, condensed milk in a bowl. Blend them together.

Added toasted pistachio to this blended mixture. Add a few petals of saffron then mix evenly.

Once every ingredient is mixed well, put them inside a earthen pot and cover the top with butter paper.

Cool them in the refrigerator and serve cold.

This dish could be a great delight to the kids, especially making a good dessert. Since kids also need dry fruits and nuts to grow better, this more than acceptable form of food would do the trick for troublesome kids.
