Narasaraopeta MP Rayapati Sambasiva Rao's only dream is to crown the Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanam [TTD] Chairman post. In past, when Rayapati was in Congress party, he did hectic lobbying for the chairman post and even approached Congress high command but all his efforts went in vain.

Internal fight in Congress, Subbirami Reddy domination in TTD were the hurdles, Rayapati faced. However, his fortunes did not change even after shifting party. Rayapati is an MP from Telugu Desam party now and much before the elections, Rayapati has demanded Chandrababu Naidu to make him the Chairman of TTD if TDP is voted into power. But during the elections, Chandrababu has denied Tirupathi ticket to Chadalvada Krishna Murthy and assured him TTD post. So to stick on his words, Naidu has opted Chadalavada's name for TTD's chairman post instead of Rayapati.

The never ending dream of Rayapati again got shattered.
