YS Sharmila starts her Election Campaign in AP:- Y S Sharmila, the president of the Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC), has launched her campaign for the upcoming Assembly and Lok Sabha elections from Amagampalli in Badvel constituency. During her canvassing, Sharmila will visit several villages, including Itukulapadu, Varikuntla, Kalsapadu, Pourmamilla, and Payalakuntla, where she will deliver speeches. She will conclude her first day at Atloor around 10 pm. Addressing a small public meeting at Amagampalli, Sharmila stated that Y S Rajasekhar Reddy, a former Congress man and chief minister, had achieved remarkable things. However, she criticized the current chief minister, Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, for allegedly betraying the state to the BJP and failing to fulfill promises made during the bifurcation, such as granting special category status and establishing the Kadapa steel plant. Sharmila also explained that her decision to contest the election from the Kadapa Lok Sabha constituency was motivated by YSRCP's allocation of the seat to individuals accused of murdering Y S Vivekananda Reddy.

Sharmila expressed her outrage at the protection of murderers, labeling it as deplorable, unfortunate, and unjust. She firmly believed that those responsible for murder should not have the opportunity to hold positions in Parliament. Sharmila also stated that the development of the southern state is contingent upon the Congress party coming into power, asserting that Jagan Mohan Reddy is subservient to the BJP. Sunitha Narreddy, the daughter of Vivekananda Reddy, also spoke at the public meeting. Narreddy emphasized that the competition lies between the individuals who were responsible for her father's death and Sharmila, highlighting that her father's dying wish was for Sharmila to become a Member of Parliament. Narreddy called for the defeat of her cousin, Y S Avinash Reddy, who is the candidate for YSRCP's Kadapa Lok Sabha. In other news, K Kruparani, a former union minister who recently left the ruling YSRCP, joined the Congress party in the presence of APCC chief and senior leaders.
