Sri Lanka struggles to pay for Petrol Ships:- Sri Lanka is facing the worst ever crisis and the people are shattered after the basic essential commodities touched the skies. The government asked the people not to rush for gasoline as there is a delay in the payment for the fuel ships. The petrol ship is stalled in the waters of Sri Lanka and the Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekara revealed that the payments would be done soon. Sri Lanka hopes to release the ship today or tomorrow. The country has to pay 53 million USD for the shipment of gasoline. There is huge shortage from cooking gas to the basic essentials. The prices have surged by more than 30 percent and there is a huge public outrage after the situations turned worst.

Ranil Wickremesinghe took the oath as the new Prime Minister of the country said that the country has one day's stock of gasoline and the government is working hard to obtain dollars in the open market as the payment has to be made for three ships with crude oil and furnace oil. The Sri Lankan government is holding talks with the World Bank to get an aid of 160 million USD for purchasing the fuel imports. Ranil Wickremesinghe said that the fuel requirement for the month of June is 530 million USD. The supplies of petrol and diesel are prioritized for essential services like ambulance.
