781 Omicron Cases Reported In India:- India reported 9195 new cases of coronavirus in the country on Tuesday as per the reports from the Union Health Ministry. The active caseload in India is now at 77,002. The total number of Omicron cases reported in India are said to be 781 and 241 people recovered completely from the variant as per the official reports. Omicron variant could lead to overwhelmed healthcare systems told the World Health Organization (WHO). The cities of Mumbai and New Delhi reported 70 percent and 50 percent jump in the total number of new cases in the last 24 hours. Mumbai reported 1377 new cases and New Delhi reported 496 cases. The total number of vaccination doses administered in the country are said to be 143.15 crores under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive.

The active cases are less than 1 percent of the total cases reported and it stands at 0.22 percent which is the lowest since March 2020. The recovery rate in India is 98.40 percent and is the highest since the pandemic broke out in India. 7347 people recovered from coronavirus in the last 24 hours and the total number of recoveries in India are said to be 3,42,51,292. The daily positivity rate is 0.79 percent and it is less than 2 percent from the past 86 days. The weekly positivity rate is 0.68 percent and a total number of 67.52 crore tests for coronavirus are conducted so far. Telangana is the first large state in the country to complete 100 percent first dose vaccination. Telangana Health Minister T Harish Rao told this on Tuesday.
