Indian Coronavirus Daily Tally Doubles Up:- A total number of 16,764 are reported in the last 24 hours in the country while the tally remained close to 8000 yesterday. The new cases are almost doubled in India today and the spread is huge in Maharashtra, New Delhi and Karnataka. All these three states imposed restrictions considering the New Year. 144 section is imposed in Mumbai city and the celebrations are banned in public places, bars, pubs and restaurants. 7585 people recovered in India in the last 24 hours and 220 people passed away in India yesterday. The active caseload in India stands at 91,361 and the recovery rate is 98.36 percent. The total number of Omicron cases in the country are said to be 1270. The Health Experts say that the wave of third wave due to the Omicron variant may reach the peaks in February 2022.

The spread of Omicron variant is huge in the states of Maharashtra, Karnataka and New Delhi. South Africa lifted the overnight curfews. Several countries imposed new restrictions considering the recent surge and the New Year celebrations. India saw the highest single-day rise in the Omicron variant of coronavirus cases and 309 cases are reported in India. The Omicron variant is traced in all the Indian states of the country. The total number of coronavirus cases reported in India in total are said to be 3,48,38,804 and the death toll in total reached 4,81,080. The fatality rate is 1.38 percent.
