USA And UK Report Record Surge In Daily Coronavirus Cases:- The Omicron variant is the talk of the world and several countries witnessed a huge rise in the daily cases because of the new variant. The situation in USA and UK is completely alarming after the new wave reached the peaks. The World Health Organization said that the situation is alarming but is quite early to predict if Omicron can lead to a milder disease. The World Health Organization also warned the nations and leaders not to get tempted by populism to relax the measures as the Omicron and Delta variants are spreading at a fast pace. Omicron variant is detected in South Africa last month and it is now spread across all the countries of the globe.
The daily cases of coronavirus climbed to 1,83,037 in the United Kingdom and the country witnessed 57 new deaths yesterday. The total number of cases reported in the nation are said to be 1,25,59,926 and the deaths reported are 1,48,089 as per the official information. Several restrictions are imposed in the country. UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has advised that people should celebrate New Year’s Eve cautiously. When it comes to USA, the country continues to remain as the worst hit nation with 54 million cases. USA reported 5,12,000 new cases in the last 24 hours which is a record. This is the highest single day spike in any nation after the pandemic started. More than 9000 people got hospitalized in the country.
