Narendra Modi's crucial meeting with Chief Ministers:- The situations of coronavirus in the country are alarming. Almost all the Indian states have delivered a high number of cases in the country in the recent weeks and the daily tally of coronavirus cases crossed 1 lakh mark per day. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a high level meeting with the officials to chalk out anti-covid plans. Narendra Modi will now interact with the Chief Ministers of the Indian states on Thursday to discuss about the coronavirus situations and about the ongoing vaccination drive in the state. The last interaction took place on March 17th. The Indian government informed the states to increase the vaccination drive and the RT-PCR tests. The second wave of coronavirus is now reaching the peaks in the country. India is the only country in the world to have a single day spike of 1 lakh cases.
Maharashtra is leading the list and the situations are quite alarming in the state already. Several restrictions along with weekend lockdown is imposed in the state to bring the number of cases to a control. Narendra Modi urged the people to wear a face mask and strictly follow all the social distancing guidelines to curb the spread of the coronavirus. The officials said that the number of cases are increased as most of the people are not wearing face masks and not following physical distancing. The number of deaths in the country too are increased in the state in the recent times. As per the current update, Narendra Modi would take the suggestions from the Chief Ministers and would grant a free hand about the restrictions in their respective states.
