AP High Court Orders Stay On Three Capitals Bill

AP High Court Orders Stay On Three Capitals Bill:- With the Governor Biswabhusan Harichandan giving a positive nod for the three capital nod, the government of Andhra Pradesh felt that the capital shifting would be a smooth sail. A petition was filed in the Andhra Pradesh High Court which came for hearing today. The AP High Court issued a stay on the Gazette notification on the three capitals made by AP Government. Three petitions are filed recently and one of them came for hearing today. The High Court thoroughly went through the petition and issued a stay. The Andhra Pradesh High Court asked the AP Government to file a counter-petition at the earliest about the same.

The petitioner said that it is not fair to take a call when the case is still pending in the court. The hearing is postponed to August 14th. The YSRCP Government is in plans to file a counter-petition at the earliest. The stay in the three capital bill will continue till August 14th. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy was in plans to start the operations of the state from August 15th from the new executive capital Vizag but the plans are shelved. Amaravati farmers who are on indefinite protest received a partial relief with this stay issued by the High Court.
