Telangana Class Tenth Exams Postponed Indefinitely:- The tenth class examinations of Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations have been postponed indefinitely until further orders informed the School Education Department. The department issued an official order about the same. The statement said "All the District Educational Officers in the state are hereby informed that in view of the prevailing health situation that arose out of COVID-19 disease, as per the direction of the Honourable High Court of Telangana SSC Public examinations March 2020 which were earlier scheduled to be held from 23rd March to 30th are postponed".
The Centre announced lockdown till April 14th and the new date of the examinations would be finalized soon. The Telangana class tenth examinations are scheduled to be held between March 31st and April 6th. After an educationalist M Balakrishna filed a PIL in the Telangana High Court, the examinations are postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak. The total number of positive coronavirus cases in Telangana reached 70. The state is currently under lockdown and the public transport, flights are cancelled. Over 25,937 people are under observation. The new date for class tenth exams will only be finalized after the lockdown will be lifted by the Centre.
There are speculations that the lockdown will be extended if the number of cases go increasing across the country.
