IMD Predicts Heavy Rain in Telangana:- The monsoon season brought a huge relief from the heatwave in Telangana. But the amount of rainfall was short of the minimum in the state. IMD says that the state will receive heavy rainfall in the isolated places for the next three days beginning from today. The rest of the state will witness moderate rainfall in these three days said IMD. The Indian Meteorological Department also predicted heavy rainfall for Chhattisgarh in the next five days.
Rains are expected to take a toll on Maharashtra, Karnataka too in the coming days. Increased flows are expected in Godavari, Krishna and Pranahita rivers due to the heavy rainfall in the regions. More flows in Pranahita can boost pumping of water towards Annaram barrage from the Kannepally pumphouse at Medigadda barrage. Hyderabad city received heavy showers during evenings on a regular basis which turned out to be a huge relief. Few regions in the city received three to four centimeters of rain.
