Karnataka By-Election Results: A Huge Blow For BJP:- This is sure a massive blow for BJP after Congress managed to sweep up in the Karnataka by-elections that have been held recently. The counting is taking place in three Parliamentary and two Assembly seats in the state. Congress party workers and supporters celebrated with delight after VS Ugrappa dominated his rival V Shantha in Ballari Lok Sabha seat which has been a stronghold for mining barons and Reddy brothers since 2004.

Congress-Janata Dal Secular (JDS) alliance campaigned hard and supported VS Ugrappa which left Congress in victory. The recent defeat will sure have a huge impact in the upcoming elections for BJP informed a senior leader. BJP lost 2 Assembly and 2 Parliament seats and ended up victorious in Shivamogga vacated by former CM BS Yeddyurappa. Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy called the verdict a "moral victory". Congress and JDS supporters have been celebrating Diwali a day before as they managed to sweep up in the by polls.
