Andhra Pradesh Tops The List In 'Ease Of Doing Business':- The newly formed Andhra Pradesh outperformed and topped the list among the 28 states and 7 union territories in 2016-17 financial year in the list of Ease of Doing Business. The Government published the third edition of the annual rankings in which Andhra Pradesh topped the list and Telangana followed AP. Haryana stood third in Ease of Doing Business. The Department for Industrial Policy & Promotion (DIPP) published the rankings which is under commerce and industry ministry.

While AP and Telangana jointly occupied the top slot for the last financial year, this year AP reached the top spot. It was based completely on triggering the competition to attract the investors. The ministry released the latest ranking of states and UTs under the Business Reform Action Plan (BRAP), 2017. Construction permits, environmental registration, labour regulation, land availability, access to information and the fast approvals are the parameters considered.
