Hyd Biker Sana Iqbal Dies In Road Accident:- Sana Iqbal, Hyderabad’s renowned cross-country rider, died in a car crash on Tuesday. Her husband, Abdul Nadeem, who was driving the car, also sustained injuries in the accident and is currently being treated in a hospital.
Meanwhile, Sana’s mother, Shaheen Khan, an advocate alleged on Wednesday that it was a cold-blooded murder and the death was being projected as an accident.
“It is a cold-blooded murder made to look like an accident. Her estranged husband and his mother, who used to harass her, are behind it,” she told a leading news channel.

According to media reports, Sana and Abdul Nadeem were heading home in Tolichowki area when the car collided with a divider on the Outer Ring Road. At around 3:30 am, the mishap occurred.
“Sana’s husband Abdul Nadeem was driving the car. Sana, who suffered severe injuries in the mishap, was shifted to a nearby hospital but was declared brought dead. Her husband, who received injuries, is undergoing treatment,” a leading news channel quoted a police officer.
Sana Iqbal’s family alleged that Sana lodged a complaint of harassment earlier with the Humayun Nagar police in May 2017, but no action was undertaken. It was the pathetic attitude of the police that led to her death, said the biker’s mother. However, the police have a different version to say. The police admitted that Sana had lodged a complaint and the couple was counseled after that. “After the counseling at the police station, they were sent to Bharosa Counseling Centre for the next level of counseling. There were no further directions from them to register a case, as the couple had probably compromised and reconciled their differences,” said Humayun Nagar inspector NLN Raju.
Sana’s mother claimed that as Sana’s martial troubles appeared to grow every day right from the beginning, she was never happy with the marriage. Only for a short period, the couple had been together and since then, Sana had been staying with her mother. “Nobody took good care of her. Every day was a torture for her. On Saturday, she told me to get her out of the hell, but as I was traveling to Chennai, I told her I would settle the issue after coming back.”
Sana Iqbal had come to the limelight when she took a solo motorcycle expedition across the country. The expedition was carried out to raise awareness about suicide and depression. Her last post in Facebook casts light on her commitment in raising awareness about depression.
“While I was on my ride and studying about Suicide statistics, I had realized that the ratio of men committing suicide is three times more when compared to women. Majority of the suicides happen due to the reasons stated by Deepika in her #Tedx talk around the same time…
Gender equality cannot be attained by placing women over men. It’s time to take EQUALITY literally,” her post read.
