Akun Sabharwal Attacks Back:- Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been investigating on the drugs issue that took the major lead in the news across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Enforcement director Akun Sabharwal is leading the team and his teams managed to nab several drug peddlers through which the Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been investigating. There are several talks that Akun Sabharwal and his team have been only focussed on Tollywood celebrities who have been issued notices. Tollywood actors have been asked to appear before SIT and Puri Jagannadh, Shyam K Naidu, Subbaraju and Tarun already appeared before SIT.
Directors like Ram Gopal Varma made open statements that Tollywood has been targeted. After Puri Jagannadh released a video, he received immense support across the social media circles and from the youth. Even the tv channels have been targeted for telecasting completely about Tollywood celebrities. Akun Sabharwal today stepped out with a pressmeet informing about the updates and the happenings of the investigation in drug mafia. Here are some of the major highlights:
We have nabbed most of the drug peddlers and we totally questioned 27 in the drugs issue. 19 others have been arrested and 12 Tollywood celebrities have been issued notices and the investigation is going on.
We are not targeting only Tollywood and many school children who are addicted to drugs are being given counselling secretly. We will not reveal any information about them considering their future. Along with these, several others are being investigated.
Our SIT team is following all the guidelines as per the Supreme Court and we have not violated a single rule.
After thorough investigation and getting the approval from the celebrities, we are collecting the blood samples. We are even shooting the entire process of interrogation and the content will be submitted in the court soon.
SIT has been working together with Narcotics Team and Special Investigating Wing.
Some of the celebrities approached the High Court however we have been following all the rules and regulations.
We have not received any notices from the High Court.
Selling, circulating, consuming, buying and distributing drugs is a punishable offence and it will be treated strictly.
