Is Midterm Polls For Telangana Next Year?

Are the midterm polls in Telangana likely to be held next year? This is the question, which is making the rounds in the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) circles.

The sources close to Telangana Chief Minister (CM), K. Chandrasekhar Rao, however, did not rule out the possibility of mid term polls in 2018. They are avoiding, saying anything openly.

Also, KCR has made up his mind to go to Assembly polls, without waiting for the general elections, of 2019, says sources.

Those who are close to the CM, have hinted that, KCR, is in favor of presenting his son, Mr. KT Rama Rao, as the next Chief Minister. KCR, wants to grab power, before BJP and other opposition parties get stabilized in the State.

Although, CM has not given any indication of mid-term polls, but the way, he has given instructions to his Ministers and TRS MLAs, to be among the people, gives a hint that Mr.KCR, might take a decision, estimating the pulse of the people.

He has even advised his son, KTR to address party and public meetings in every district. The main goal, would be to highlight developmental programs and schemes. By doing in this manner, KTR would emerge as the candidate, for the post of CM.

KTR, has even been given special powers to take decisions, on public representations, so that by making various announcements of public meetings, support could be gathered for TRS.

Furthermore, the MLAs has been instructed to be active in their Assembly constituencies, and to activate party cadre at village level, so that the other parties, should not get any chance of making propaganda against the Government.
