In a shocking incident, a petrol bomb was thrown at Jammu and Kashmir Education Minister Naeem Akhtar house in Parraypora area on Monday night.

According to the police, no one was hurt in the attack. Some unidentified persons threw the bomb.

"A petrol bomb was hurled at the residence of the Education Minister at Parraypora late last night, causing damage to the main gate of the house," a police official said.

The minister and his wife were not present in the premises. They were shifted to high security Gupkar Road after the PDP-BJP government sworn in March last year.

An official said “petrol bomb was also thrown at the office of Road and Buildings department at SDA colony in Bemina area of the city last night. No one was hurt in the incident.”
