On highest alert, cities on edge

With a possible terror attack looming overhead, police across Hyderabad and other cities have stepped up security and vigilance. Even at the inconvenience of everyone, the police are leaving no stone unturned in their efforts to keep the city attack free.

Attacks in the name of terror have plagued the country for years now. One happens, people are shocked, life goes on, and another one happens again. The nation's resilience is commendable, but it is foolhardy to be blinded to the manipulation. That is why, citizens and police alike are are high alert.

Recently, cops have held 16 internet cafe owners for violating rules. Other internet cafes in the city are also under the scanner. Additionally, cops are also being extremely uncompromising with motorists and vehicles. Frisking is a common sight these days. No one is an exception.

At the airport, security is tight, in anticipation of the threat. While anti-sabotage units are on high alert, patrolling in crowded areas is also enhanced. Whether this makes residents edgy or not, all are bravely putting up with it for their own safety.
