YS Viveka Case: CBI additional SP booked:- The death mystery of AP politician and ex-MP YS Vivekananda Reddy has taken enough turns. After being badly criticized, the government of AP handed over the case to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). The new twist comes here after a case has been registered against an Additional Superintendent of Police rank officer of CBI for influencing and intimidating a suspect in the case. RIMS Kadapa cops registered an FIR against the SP after the local court ordered. Gajjela Uday Kumar Reddy, an employee of Uranium Corporation of India Limited (UCIL) filed a complaint against CBI Additional SP Ram Singh that he harassed him for a statement.
Gajjela Uday Kumar Reddy refused to give his statement but Ram Singh threatened him after which he filed a complaint. Gajjela Uday Kumar Reddy said that he was questioned by the CBI 22 times after the demise of YS Vivekananda Reddy. The Additional SP along with the constables entered his residence on February 14th and attacked him told Gajjela Uday Kumar Reddy. He said that Ram Singh abused his parents and threatened of sending the entire family to prison. After the cops failed to take an action, Uday Kumar approached the court and the court directed the RIMS Police to register a case against Ram Singh.
The trial of YS Vivekananda Reddy murder case has been transferred to Kadapa District Court from Pulivendula Court upon the request from the CBI. The judicial custody of the three accused is extended for two more weeks.
