Massive Floods Shatter Normal Life In Himachal Pradesh:- Massive floods hit several districts of Himachal Pradesh due to heavy rainfall in the hilly state. Several schools and colleges have been closed in Kinnaur, Kullu and Kangra districts due to heavy floods. Over 20 people lost their lives and several went missing because of the floods in the districts. Weather office revealed that the state would witness heavy rain and snowfall in the next couple of days. Due to landslides, several roads got blocked across Kinnaur and Chamba districts. Rohtang Pass received four feet of snowfall on Sunday. Several rivers in the state crossed the danger mark and are overflowing.

According to India Meteorological Department (IMD), the June - September monsoon will withdraw from northwest from Saturday. Neighboring state Punjab issued a red alert with the heavy rains smashing all over. On Monday, a man and a girl were swept in Kangra and Kullu districts in Himachal Pradesh. The state government warned the people not to go near to the rivers in the state because of the situations. The country capital New Delhi too witnessed massive rain fall which caused traffic problems.
