Himachal Pradesh Landslide: 10 Dead And Several Trapped:- A major landslide took place today in Himachal Pradesh's Kinnaur district today and ten people passed away. Thirteen people got injured in the incident and the initial reports predict that 30 people may have been buried under the debris. Deputy Commissioner, Kinnaur, Abid Hussain Sadiq said that several vehicles including a Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) bus with 40 passengers are buried under the debris. The bus is on its way from Reckong Peo from Kinnaur to Shimla. Special teams of ITBP from 43rd Battalion, 17th Battalion and 19th Battalion are taking care of the rescue operations. Th cops along with the NDRF and CISF are carrying the operations.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi along with the Home Minister Amit Shah called Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jairam Thakur and inquired about the incident. They assured all the support from the Centre. Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal said "My heart goes out to the families affected by the landslide in Kinnaur, Himachal Pradesh. Praying for everyone's safety and successful rescue of those trapped at the site,". Several vehicles are said to be buried under the debris. Ten people are rushed to the hospital and they are being treated. More than 200 troops of the Indo-Tibetian Border Police rushed to the spot after the incident took place. The rescue operations are expected to continue throughout the night and tomorrow. The region is quite dangerous for now told the officials.
