Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has agreed for a special package for Seemandhra region. BJP leaders Arun Jaitley and Venkaiah Naidu met PM Manmohan in Parliament lobby in the afternoon hours and discussed the probabilities of package. The discussion lasted for an hour and finally PM agreed to announce a special package for Seemandhra region which could calm down the agitations a bit. BJP has been forcing the government in amendments to be made in Telangana Bill but as the government is reluctant, BJP asked for package.

Speaker accepts Seemandhra MPs resignation

Meanwhile Lok Sabha speaker Meira Kumar has accepted three Seemandhra region MPs resignation today. They are Lagadapati Rajagopal, union minister Daggubati Purendeswari and MP Magunta. Lagadapati has sent his resignation last night and Speaker personally called him for a dialog process. After hearing his views, Meira Kumar accepted his resignation.
