Arun Jaitley Cremated with State Honours: Former Union Finance Minister and crucial BJP leader Arun Jaitley passed away on Saturday. He was cremated in the national capital with state honours on Sunday afternoon. All the senior politicians and various crucial BJP leaders attended the last journey of Arun Jaitley. His son Rohan performed the last rites at the Nigambodh Ghat. The whole country mourned the untimely demise of the 66-year-old politician and the country lauded his works. Arun Jaitley has been battling with cancer from the past few months and he was admitted in AIIMS on August 9th.

Arun Jaitley was on life support from the past few weeks. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi could not attend the cremation of Arun Jaitley as he was in France, Bahrain and UAE. He personally called the family members of Arun Jaitley and paid his condolences to the family. Hundreds of people, supporters and friends participated in the last journey of Arun Jaitley. Right from his South Delhi residence, Arun Jaitley's mortal remains were taken to BJP headquarters at Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Marg and the party supporters paid their respects. Arun Jaitley's last journey then began to the cremation ground in a flower-decked gun carriage.

Vice President Venkaiah Naidu, senior BJP leader L K Advani, BJP President and Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh were present.
