Kiran Kumar Reddy is elated with the arrival of Union finance minister P Chidambaram and had personally revived him at the Hyderabad airport. Chidambaram arrived here with the exclusive purpose of talking to CM Kiran over the bifurcation issue.
The finance minister is considered to be Kiran's mentor and had also supported him appointment to the CM's chair after Rosaiah failed to impress. During this trip, the CM discussed many issues with Chidambaram, particularly his stand on Samaikhyandhra.
After the meeting, sources from the CM's office reportedly conveyed that Kiran was happier after his discussion and that he feels the Center has taken a decision over Hyderabad. The CM apparently laid down alternate ideas in case of a non-separation from Telangana.
It was also heard that Kiran may not resign from his position as the pressure has eased a little. The CM will reportedly visit Delhi tomorrow for a meeting with the high command.
