Chidambaram Slams Centre for Poor Economy:- Former Union Finance Minister P Chidambaram has been facing charges of money laundering and he spent over 106 days in Tihar Jail after which he was released on bail. The veteran politician slammed the Centre for the slow economy rate. He said that his record as Finance Minister was absolutely fine and clear. He said that the officers who worked with him and the business people were well aware about his clarity. Chidambaram slammed Narendra Modi who is silent is clueless about the economy in the country. Chidambaram called the government stubborn and mulish saying that they defended mistakes like demonetisation and flawed GST implementation.

Chidambaram said that we will be lucky if the growth touches 5 pc by the end of this year. He also raised his concern about the situation in Kashmir after the revocation of Article 370. He said that 75 lakh people residing in Jammu and Kashmir have been denied basic freedom from August. Chidambaram sais that he was particularly concerned about the political leaders who have been detained without charges. Right from the economic growth to the development, everything slowed down under BJP's rule said Chidambaram.
