Didn't people of the state get something called financial independence? What's exactly financial independence all about? It might be something different if we ask economists but for TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu, financial independence would apparently mean poverty! If we go by the economic term of financial independence, it would be nothing but holding assets that would be generating income which would be more than the expenditure, it is that state wherein people need not work to meet their basic needs. To put it in a nut shell, it's passive sources of income like oil leases, rents from houses etc. While it is apparently tough for getting healthy life style and good job for making ends meet, financial independence could be something out of the context, said observers.
Anyway, emphasizing on developmental programmes during his regime and criticizing the present government's moves, Chandrababu Naidu was probably this term—financial independence. Whatever it might be, Babu expressed his concern towards the poor people in the state during his padayatra today, wherein he completed 2000 kilometre milestone in Guntur district.
If people still didn't get financial independence as said by Babu, what his government did to erase the same, is one question that engages many intellectuals. Babu might cite development of roads during his tenure, will that be having any link to removing poverty, is another question that puzzles even a common man. God alone has an answer to this!
