Late legendary actor NTR’s daughter and Union Minister, Ms Purandhareswari said today that the TDP led by Chandrababu Naidu is totally different from the TDP founded by her father.

Speaking to media persons after having darshan of Lord Siva at Kotappa Konda in Guntur district along with her husband Venkateswara rao, Purandhareswari said that there is a world of difference between the aims and objectives of the NTR TDP and those of the Chandrababu Naidu TDP.

“There is no comparison at all between the two,” she said indirectly confirming the news reports that the Nandamuri family members are at logger heads with the leadership of Chandrababu Naidu.

Speaking on the fast-unto-death programme undertaken by the Gandhian and social activist Anna Hazare demanding a Jana Lok Pal with wider powers to curb corruption in the country and punish the guilty irrespective of their status, the minister supported the agitation taken up by the Gandhian and said that the government will take steps to introduce a Bill as demanded by him.

“The by-elections are a little bit tough but congress will no doubt win them,” she said when reporters asked for her reaction on the Kadapa Lok Sabha and Pulivendula assembly by-elections.
