Acting on the directions of the Nampally Criminal Court, the Hyderabad police have booked a case against MIM legislator Akbaruddin Owaisi under IPC Section 153 A (for promoting enmity between groups based on religions) at the Osmania University campus police station.  Meanwhile, uproar has been reported across the country over the inflammatory speech Mr Akbaruddin gave in Nirmal of Nizamabad district a few days back.

Already cases have been filed against this MIM legislator at various police stations. The sources said that further cases might be filed at some more police stations in all parts of the country. Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly speaker Nadendla Manohar has said that he has received n number of telephone calls and emails against Akbaruddin Owaisi. He asked the legislators to behave decently.

On the other hand, Congress leader Renuka Chowdhary has reportedly said that police would take necessary action  against Akbaruddin Owaisi for the hate speeches he gave.
