The Communist Party of India state secretary Narayana seems to be caught on the wrong foot. While this is not his first un-parliamentary dialect recalled by him, earlier he had many to his account. He had also issued a statement against a bureaucrat who was incarcerated in one of the gigantic mining case. Later he also bent his earlier statement and made some omissions and corrections. But this time he has once again crossed the borders say critics. During a meet in Warangal the leader is quoted to have said that those people who opposed Telangana would be tonsured and would be treated shabbily. During the recent Telangana Poru Yatra at Adilabad, the leader seemed to have gone excited and gone overboard with the type of dialogues.
Sounds really bad for a senior leader of his stature, say critics. And they also question if he would tolerate if other leaders criticize his moves in similar waves. Right to speech is one thing that is still the birth right of our nationals and even if this right is snatched by such threatens, then it is sheer slur on our very basis phenomena. Leaders of his caliber must be subtle and with such a huge larger to life image in the people's heart his words will be treated as orders by his cadre and this could turn into chaos.
During the same meeting the CPI leader also asked the Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy headed YSR Congress party, TDP and Congress to specify their clear stands on the Telangana issue. Critics also felt, splitting is a government decision and if it is imminent, splitting like brothers is the right method...(With inputs from internet-AW AarKay)
