JD Lakshminarayana announces a new political party:- JD Lakshminarayana, a well-known figure in Andhra Pradesh politics, has recently established his own political party called Jai Bharat National Party. As the general election in AP approaches, JD aims to differentiate his party from the traditional political players such as YSRCP, TDP, and BJP. He has emphasized that the key objective of his party is to revive the issue of special category status for AP, which has been largely forgotten.

To further promote his newly formed party, JD has also unveiled a slogan: "Appu Cheyyam Tappu Cheyyam." This slogan may allude to the substantial debt burden that the YCP government has placed on AP.

Prior to launching his own party, JD explored the possibility of obtaining a Vizag MP ticket from both YCP and JanaSena. However, JanaSena was primarily focused on seat sharing with TDP and could not offer any assurances to JD. Similarly, Jagan, the leader of YCP, did not display much interest in JD's proposal. Consequently, the former CBI director made the decision to establish his own party.
