6 control rooms set up in Hyderabad

Rains are lashing Hyderabad causing severe trouble to the people in twin cities who are shuttling between different parts of the city. Several low lying areas are completely submerged by water while many roads too got inundated. Even eight deaths were reported on Saturday. Keeping in view the problem of the public, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has set up six control rooms in the city. The officials are monitoring the water logging issues from the control rooms.

The chief minister Kiran Kumar Reddy, who was reportedly astonished over the water logging on main roads at several important junctions in the city, has himself plunged into the action to review the situation. He directed the collectors to be more alert and press the rescue teams timely. Further, he ordered them to repair drainage system in the twin cities.
