NMU warns of strike

Air India pilots' strike seemed to have become an inspiration to many to allegedly blackmail the government. RTC employees in Andhra Pradesh seems to chose the same path of Air India pilots to pitch their voice in support of their demands.  National Mazdoor Union on Tuesday said that it would call for bus strike across the state in case the state government fails to solve the issues of RTC employees.  As many as 3000 employees of APSRTC staged a protest in front of Bus Bhavan in Hyderabad demanding the government for solving their problems.

The union leaders have said that despite giving notice on 36 demands including the regularization of 22,000 contract employess, the government was apparently adopting apathetic attitude towards the problems.  In case the government doesn't respond to the notice, strike would be inevitable, warned the union leaders.
