The Congress party today lashed out at the TDP rythu poru as a show of the erstwhile Chandrababu to gain lime light. The Congress Legislative party felt that the whole protest seems to be a comedy. They felt that having neglected the farmer utterly when TDP was in rule for nine years, raising voice on the issue, which is well addressed by the Kiran sarkar ascertains the point. The AICC Secretary Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy expressed the views of the Congress. He also felt that the farmers who culture leased lands are also facing problems and they must also get the benefits like the owners.

It may be noted the TDP along with other opposition parties started on a rythu maha dharna to highlight the neglience of the ruling Congress party in Hyderabad.
