A 60-year-old patient who was admitted to Osmania General Hospital for undergoing treatment for chronic illness was slipped off the hospital balcony accidentally and died on the spot. The patient was identified as Balakrishna from Shadnagar Mandal of Choutuppal. The police who have rushed to the spot have registered the case and body has been sent for postmortem.

The negligence of hospital authorities resulted in death of the patient. Why was patient allowed to move till balcony and why the balcony was kept open are the questions that puzzle people whenever such incidents come to light.

The Government should make sure that it necessary steps should be taken in order to ensure more safety at Osmania General Hospital otherwise more such incidents are likely to take place.
