Viveka seeks Rajya Sabha ticket

Former Minister YS Vivekananda Reddy today met chief minister Kirankumar reddy at his camp office in Hyderabad and sought his nomination on behalf of the party in the Rajya Sabha elections.

Viveka, who met party high command leaders last week in Delhi and sought his nomination to the Rajya Sabha, today pursued it up with the CM.

Viveka resigned as MLC and agriculture minister before contesting as congress party candidate against YS Vijayamma in the Pulivendula by election. After his defeat in the by election, Viveka was not offered any post by the party leadership.

However, he began lobbying for congress ticket in the forthcoming Rajya Sabha elections for the last few days but the party has not made up its mind as yet. “Yes, I am seeking nomination to Rajya Sabha,” he said in reply to a question after meeting Kirankumar reddy. (JUBS)
