Veteran playback singer SP Balasubramanyam will soon turn film director. The singer revealed this to newspersons at Kakinada today.

In an informal chit-chat with journalists after participating in a function marking the inauguration of a private hospital, the legendary singer said that he would soon direct a Telugu film and script work for the movie was getting ready.

“I will reveal the details soon,” he said. Referring to the ‘Padutaa Tiyagaa’ programme on ETV which has been churning out talented singers under his guidance, Balasubramanyam called it his ‘music college’.

SP also said that he was acting in a Telugu movie called ‘Gopuram’ and this movie would make the Telugus all over the world feel great. (JUBS)
