Devotees are protesting in front of the main tower of Simhachalam temple for the failure of the temple authorities in taking care of the cows and calves.
Shiva devotees are demanding a reduction in the Darshan ticket rate and save calves.
Death of hundreds of cows and calves presented to the temple by the devotees, occurred during last month, made many spiritual organizations and general devotees protest. Temple authorities announced that proper care will be taken in future. There is also a proposal to give the cows to a voluntary organization if any comes forward to take care.
After a lull for some time after the incident happened during Chandanotsavam time at Simhachalam, again today some Shiva devotees made protests at the main tower (Gali Gopuram) to save cows and also they added that the ticket rates for Darshan of the deity should be reduced.
