Parliament is final authority on T issue: Undavalli

Rajahmundry MP Mr Undavalli Arunkumar said that Parliament will take final decision on the issue of Telangana and all political parties should abide by the decision of the parliament.

Speaking to journalists in Delhi, Arunkumar said the issue of Telangana is now in the hands of the Centre and one has to wait for its decision. “What ever the Centre decides and Parliament approves, it would be binding on all of us,” he said.

“Union Minister Mr Azad is handling the Telangana issue and we hope the Centre will take a decision acceptable to all,” he said.

New districts are a necessity

Undavalli said that new districts should be formed for administrative convenience in the state and the creation of new districts has nothing to do with the Telangana issue.

Earlier, Minister Manikyavara Prasad told journalists in Hyderabad that there is a need to create 7 to 10 districts in the state and a report would be submitted soon to the Centre on the issue.  (JUBS)
